Distance: 5 Miles
Topography: Flat, Route A1A runs along the Atlantic Coast throughout Florida.

Weather: The oppressive heat let us all know that we were in fact south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Details: Although only five miles were covered for the day a successful opening demonstration at the mall in downtown Charlottesville, which was attended by members of the media and scores of Tibetans from the local community; and a dynamic interactive presentation with Jay Mac Michael's History class at Albemarle High School kicked the walk off to a fine start.
