Friday, June 23rd

We began our walk at Mann's Chinese Theater, spending some more time traversing the Walk of Fame. We walked and walked in the hot sun, ending up in Echo Park for lunch.

The main event of the day was a press conference at the L.A. City Hall where Los Angeles Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg was thanked for helping the city council to pass a Tibet resolution. Los Angeles passed the resolution last year, and Goldberg is currently advocating for a resolution with even stronger language and a clause to welcome the Dalai Lama to town.

We then went over to the Dalai Lama's hotel to welcome him as he arrived.
